Introgresjonslinjer frå amfiploid Lolium perenne x Festuca pratensis cv. Prior er frysetesta og analysert v.hj.a. AFLP markørar og GISH for å knytta molekylære markørar til Festuca-segment overførde til Lolium. Overvintringsevne og frosttoleranse er kvantitative karakterar som er styrde av gen på ulike kromosom. AFLP markørar knytt til ulike kromosomdelar kan kombinerast for å selektera utvalde genotypar gjennom introgresjon. AFLP markørar som oftast vart funne i plantene med høgast frosttolerande og fråverande i planter med låg frosttoleranse, vart assosiert med overvintringsevne og med funn av introgresjonar frå Festuca. Desse markørane kan vera nyttige i markørassistert foredlingsprogram.

Sammendrag

Negative potassium (K) balances have been reported from grass-dominated organic systems in several European countries, and in these systems delivery of K from soil primary minerals by weathering is probably crucial to sustained productivity. Mass balances and K budgets have been made at eight grass dominated experimental agricultural systems, one each in Scotland and Sweden and six in Norway. Where no fertiliser K was applied the deficits obtained were in the range 37 to 241 kg K ha-1 year-1. An estimate of the weathering rate was determined by the biogeochemical PROFILE model that varied widely between locations (4.2 to 82 kg K ha-1 year-1). This paper is a first attempt to apply the steady state PROFILE model on agricultural soils by using data from experimental sites. The Monte Carlo simulation of the weathering rate calculation showed that differences in specific surface area and soil water content strongly influenced the predicted weathering rate. The results from these weathering rate scenarios were associated with a degree of uncertainty but because all sites had a negative annual K balance, the specific contribution that mineral weathering makes to the long-term replenishment of soil exchangeable K is important. Despite the uncertainties in the weathering rate calculation these preliminary results are still useful in several aspects because the simulations make it possible to compare different agro-ecosystems with different management regimes, climate, soil properties etc. The simulations also indicate which environmental factors are likely to be the most influential on weathering rates. Soil physical properties such as moisture content, bulk density and surface area appeared to be amongst the most important input parameters controlling the weathering rate. There is now a need for improved laboratory experimental data that better describe the kinetics of mineral weathering in order to enhance the accuracy and precision of PROFILE.

I Noreg er det registrert tre artar av honningsopp. Dei angrip mange treaktige planteartar, men dei er mest vanlege i skogsbestand av gran. I grøntanlegg er honningsopp ein vanleg skadegjerar på til dømes tujahekkar.

For manufacturing of naturally durable products of Scots pine it is crucial to separate heartwood from the non-durable sapwood. The objectives of this study were to evaluate near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy as a non-destructive method for classifying heartwood and sapwood in Scots pine sawn wood, and to evaluate the applicability of NIR-spectroscopy in predictions of heartwood resistance to decay. Wood durability is measured by mass loss from fungal activity in a laboratory experiment.Using NIR-spectra in fully cross-validated partial least squares (PLS1) regression models, results show that it is possible to correctly classify samples of heartwood and sapwood. The results further demonstrate that resistance to decay in Scots pine heartwood and sapwood can be modelled with satisfying precision using NIR-spectroscopy. Within-tree variation in heartwood resistance to decay show the importance of building reliable models for identification of highly decay resistant heartwood, to accomplish a purposeful utilisation of naturally durable heartwood.

Stochastic budgeting is used to simulate the business and financial risk and the performance over a 6-year planning horizon on a Norwegian dairy farm. A major difficulty with stochastic whole-farm budgeting lies in identifying and measuring dependency relationships between stochastic variables. Some methods to account for these stochastic dependencies are illustrated. The financial feasibility of different investment and management strategies is evaluated. In contrast with earlier studies with stochastic farm budgeting, the option aspect is included in the analysis.

Aurora" og "Carmen" bør prøves i begrenset omfang hos dyrkere før den eventuelt oppformeres for alminnelig salg. "Polka" ser ut til å være mer produktiv enn "Korona", men det er en ulempe at "Polka" etter hvert utvikler en lite tiltalende plante. Verdiprøvingsfeltene på Kise har vist at "Korona" holder stand der. To nye sorter "Florence" og "Frida" kan imidlertid vise seg som utfordrere. "Florence" har blitt godt mottatt i forbrukertester, mens "Frida" ser ut til å være meget produktiv. Mer erfaring vil nok akkumuleres fra disse sortene etter hvert. Fra jordbærforedlingen i Planteforsk ligger de an til at fire nummersorter vil bli oppformert for begrenset utprøving.
