Projects

NIBIO is a project driven research institute and collects approximately 400 million NOK annually in project funding from both national and international sources. A lot of activity is carried out through EU and EEA-projects and we also participate in research projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America. NIBIO coordinates several large international projects with a particular focus on food security and climate change. The list of projects is not complete.

ClimaAdapt

ClimaAdapt has taken an integrated science-stakeholder-policy approach in the development of an adaptation framework for water and agriculture sectors in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu states in India. The project has aimed towards developing climate-smart agriculture technologies, and has succeeded in improving the adaptive capacity of thousands of Indian smallholders.

Conservation and breeding potential of native fruits in the Czech Republic and Norway - NATFRUIT


Fruits are irreplaceable part of human diet with compounds beneficial for human health. Native fruits are even more important, since they represent germplasm for future, treasury of genes, a range of bioactive compounds, antioxidant capacity, metabolomic pattern and other traits desirable for breeding in the environment and climate changing and for healthy food.
