Faba beans are a sought-after Norwegian protein source, but the cultivated area is limited. The aim of the project is to develop strategies for the organic cultivation of faba beans that ensure good establishment and stable yields.

Main objective:
Develop strategies for the organic cultivation of faba beans that ensure good establishment, yield, and preceding-crop effects.
Sub-objectives:
- Develop weed control strategies for the establishment phase of faba beans.
- Evaluate the effects of cultivation strategies in faba beans on the yield and quality of subsequent spring wheat.
- Disseminate knowledge on the organic cultivation of faba beans.
