Protection of personal privacy

Like most other websites, nibio.no uses cookies. Cookies are small files that remain on your computer for our service to work best for you as a user. This does not give rise to any security risk.

Norse Digital is NIBIO's data processor, and is our supplier for development and maintenance of the website. The collaboration is regulated by a data processing agreement.

Information collected in connection with the operation of the website is stored on NIBIO's servers. Only NIBIO and Norse Digital have access to the information that is collected.

As an important part of the work to create a user-friendly website, we look at the user pattern of our visitors. To analyze the information, we use the analysis tool Matomo and Matomo Cloud.

Matomo uses cookies to collect data about users. These provide information about the individual user's online movements. Examples of what the statistics give us answers to are: how many people visit various pages, how long the visit lasts, which websites the users come from and which browsers are used. We cannot link information about your use of the website to you as an individual. The information about the usage patterns is sent to and stored in the Matomo Cloud.

Before the information is sent to Matomo, your IP address is anonymised, so that only the first two parts of the IP address contain information, while the last two parts of the IP address are anonymised. You can find more information about the Matomo Cloud Privacy Policy here.

Information on which cookies Matomo uses can be found here.

Your browser automatically sends information to nibio.no's servers every time you request to view a page. This is, for example, information about which browser and version you use and your internet address (IP address, which is anonymised). For each page that is displayed, information is also stored about the date and time, which page you came from, which page you are on.

None of this information is used to identify individuals. We use this information to generate aggregate statistics which, among other things, show which pages are most popular and which information users are looking for. The statistics are a tool to improve our services to you as an end user.
